Kia's ministry stands firmly on the belief in God's ability to accomplish the impossible. A nationally recognized preacher, motivator, speaker, and mentor, she has made a profound impact on society. Through her unwavering faith, Kia ignites a passion to share the unshakeable word of God with all who seek it, leading many to Jesus Christ. Known for her dynamic preaching, vibrant energy, engaging personality, and dedicated commitment to Kingdom work, Kia focuses particularly on empowering youth and young adults.

With academic excellence, Kia graduated Cum Laude from Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Studies and earned a Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling. She furthered her education with a Master of Divinity from Wake Forest University and a Doctorate of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Kia has received prestigious awards such as the Catherine Amos Christian Education Award from Wake Forest University School of Divinity for her impactful ministry with youth and young adults. She has also been honored by The Ecumenical Institute of the Carolinas for her scholarly and personal efforts shaping the future of ministry. Additionally, she was named one of the 40 Under 40 Most Influential African-American Leaders of the Triad by Black Business Inc and received recognition from Wake Forest University School of Divinity with the 2023 Mac Bryan Prophetic Preaching: Daughters of Thunder award. Her global influence extends through her involvement with the Compassion International Black Church Cohort.

A member of Union Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, under the leadership of Bishop Sir Walter Lee Mack, Jr., Kia's journey in ministry began as the Youth and College Ministry Program Director. Presently, she serves as the Director of Preaching and Worship and the Site Pastor for Union Baptist Church in Jamestown-High Point.

Kia finds unwavering support in her husband, Mr. George L. Scott Jr., as they navigate their shared commitment to ministry. Rooted in prayer and faith, Kia believes in the potential of every individual and is driven by her purpose to advance God's Kingdom.
